Vaucluse Water Treatment Works
A 42 Ml/d municipal drinking-water works: raw-water intake, coagulation, three ultrafiltration skids, UV and chlorine disinfection, clearwell storage and pressure-managed distribution.

What the platform models here
Each family has a behavioural model that the live simulator and the proving twin share, so a dry-run behaves the way the plant does.
- Centrifugal pumps
- Ultrafiltration skids
- UV reactor
- Dosing skids
- Clearwell
- Analyser
- Blower
- Control valve
A fouled membrane skid is a compliance problem, not a maintenance ticket
UF-03 runs at a fouling index of 61 %, holding transmembrane pressure at 1.60 bar — past the 1.35 bar backwash limit. Take it out of service naively and the works loses a third of its treated-water capacity during peak demand. Leave it fouled and permeate turbidity climbs toward the membrane-integrity limit.
Ultrafiltration Backwash & Load Transfer
uf-backwash-recovery
Recover a fouled ultrafiltration skid without losing treated-water output: take UF-03 off duty and backwash it, transfer its load to UF-01 and UF-02, and confirm with the treatment supervisor before the change is applied.
- 01Reduce UF-03 flux → 40 %
- 02Backwash UF-03
- 03Raise UF-01 flux → 96 %
- 04Raise UF-02 flux → 96 %
- 05Treatment-supervisor confirmation
- 06Notify control room
C4 · operational action
UF-03 Fouling Excursion
UF-03 enters the shift already fouled and continues to foul while the other two skids run at normal flux.
| Assertion | Baseline | With procedure | |
|---|---|---|---|
| UF-03 transmembrane pressure ≤ 1.35 bar | 1.62 bar | 0.56 bar | pass |
| UF-01 / UF-02 permeate ≥ 340 m³/h each | 334.9 m³/h | 365.4 m³/h | pass |
Baseline fails both assertions. With the procedure, four commands are intercepted on the isolated twin and both hold.
What the control room sees

Run this against water & wastewater you actually operate.
We will model your equipment, wire your tags and dry-run one of your procedures on the call.
